Toxicology Study Manager- OVID Therapeutics

Job Summary: Ovid Therapeutics is seeking a Nonclinical Study Manager with extensive experience in managing regulated toxicology studies to join our Nonclinical Safety Assessment group. As part of a collaborative team, this individual will be a critical player in the execution of toxicology studies supporting the clinical development of therapeutic candidates. This role will report to the Director, Nonclinical Safety Assessment.

Responsibilities:

  • • Coordinate and monitor GLP and non-GLP toxicology studies at CROs; including CRO selection, qualification, study director interactions, maintaining correspondence and study monitoring.
  • Review study protocols, data, study reports, amendments and regulatory filings for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage study logistics; schedule, track, and monitor study progress, ensure study protocol and report(s) completed within timelines.
  • Coordinate activities among multiple departments internally and externally (e.g. CMC, QA, etc.); schedule meetings as needed.
  • Manage contracts (CDA, MSA, SOW) with CROs.
  • Assist in preparation and review of Regulatory and QA documents
  • Document and communicate study and program status and issues through monthly reports, timelines, minutes, etc.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain training/certifications.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other team members to assure timely deliverables.

Computational Biologist/Consultant- Bruker

Job Summary: We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated computational biologist/ bioinformaticist to develop bioinformatics approaches creating targeted oligonucleotide panels to map 3D genomic chromosome and chromatin architecture. The consultant will aggregate genomic target information from multiple scientific sources and assemble this information into a database to be used as a basis for panel design; develop pipelines to extract primer designs from an existing database which are complimentary to the assembled target database and store panels of designs in databases/ files for retrieval/general use; should have experience creating and working with databases and developing workflows in programming languages such as R, python, and MATLAB to extract and parse genomics information.

Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with available scientific literature describing potential targets for spatial genomic analysis and assist in creation of databases and assay design pipelines to convert this information into assay targets.
  • Independently create and deploy the genomics target database and a database of panel designs.
  • Share designs and work within multidisciplinary teams during development.
  • Prepare internal technical documentation including summaries of criteria governing choice of targets and panel designs, and description of the pipeline used.
  • A detailed SOW would be written up once a confidentiality agreement is in place.

National CBRN Centre Testing & Exercising Supervisor- West Midlands Police UK

Job Summary: As part of a small multi-agency team, you will work across the four thematic teams of: Training, Capabilities, Operations and Performance & Development to support, strengthen and assure the police response to CBRN Terrorism. The national nature of the work and engagement with senior leaders offers significant development opportunities as well as presenting the opportunity to travel extensively across the UK to identify good practice, access capability, deliver events, support CBRN capability building and exercises at the operational, tactical and strategic level. Responsibilities:

  • Acting as a single point of contact for UK CTP, Regions and Forces for NCBRNC in relation to CBRN Testing and Exercising
  • Coordinating the support to UK Regions and Forces in relation to CBRN Testing and Exercising
  • Working within a Testing and Exercising Team taking forward a National CBRN Programme on behalf of Office for Security and Counter Terrorism, Home Office
  • To be part of an on call cadre of Duty Officers which provides 24/7 advice and support to the UK Police Service in relation to suspected CBRN incidents
  • Maintaining, developing and enhancing relationships with key stakeholders in the police service and partner agencies to ensure that Lessons learned from CBRN Testing and Exercising are disseminated and built into Training Products, Doctrine and Operational processes
  • Assisting NCBRNC Training team in facilitating and delivering Exercises, including CBRN Command Courses
  • Supporting the Centre in providing logistical support and guidance to the service
  • To be aware of Policy on Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Data Protection and to comply with the legislation and the standards of ‘good practice’
  • To hold a valid UK driving licence, currently trained and qualified to drive a police vehicle for emergency response purposes during periods of on-call.

Senior Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Specialist - Sawdey Solution Services

Job Summary:

This effort will assist in creating a network of likeminded allies and partners with increased threat reduction capabilities that contribute and advance the interests and security of the United States of America. It will assist in building strategic relationships with key international partners that enhance threat reduction on a global scale. And, it will also support the resilience of the global nonproliferation framework by building partner capacities to enforce the tenants of that framework. The Senior EOD Specialist will be the tactical and technical explosive expert. EODs are trained, equipped, and integrated to attack, defeat, and exploit unexploded ordnance, improvised explosive devices, chemical, biological, and nuclear ordnance, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).

Responsibilities:

  • Locate, identify, disarm, and dispose of all explosive ordnance.
  • Participate in intelligence gathering operations.
  • Prepare and maintain EOD tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Research and identify ordnance.
  • Dispose of hazardous ordnance.
  • May use advanced robotics.
  • May train others in IED awareness.
  • May support very important persons (VIP) missions for various federal agencies.

UXO Technician Field Personnel – Weston Solutions

Job Summary:

The UXO Technician III identifies and classifies unexploded ordnance (UXO) and discarded military munitions (DMM) and their fuses as well as excavating and moving munitions acceptable for movement.  The UXO Technician III must be able to perform the responsibilities of UXO Sweep Personnel, UXO Technician I and UXO Technician II.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform the on-site demilitarization of Munitions of Explosive Concern (MEC) and handling of demolition materials.
  • Prepare an explosives storage plan per all applicable guidance.
  • Prepare required UXO munitions response actions and range maintenance administrative reports.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures for on-site munitions responses and for range clearance activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk and hazards analyses.
  • Conduct daily site safety briefings.
  • Supervise the conduct of all on-site UXO-related operations.
  • Inspect, certify and verify Materials Potentially Presenting an Explosive Hazard (MPPEH) as safe, or as to the explosive hazard it may present for transfer within Department of Defense (DoD) or release from DoD control per current policies and standards.
