IB Consultancy is looking for an ambitious Conference Programs and Magazine Manager to lead the content creation activities for our events and online magazine.

Responsibilities:

  • Researching potential themes and topics for our conference programs and online Magazine
  • Overseeing the editorial calendar of the online magazine and managing the delivery of internal and external authors’ submissions
  • Editing articles
  • Managing/executing the invitation process for conference speakers and magazine authors
  • Managing and executing the conference programs development of the NCT Events
  • Liaise with the Sales/Marketing Manager to produce content for brochures, websites, newsletters…
  • Deliver a complete digital magazine issue each month
  • Managing/executing the administrative process related to conference speakers arrangements
  • Work closely with the Director of Governmental Affairs to ensure content (magazine and conferences) relevancy and consistency
  • Contribute to the work of the Sales Team in selling event sponsorship/exhibition packages and magazine advertisements
  • Contact potential speakers and make arrangements

  • Manage a sales team of approximately 4 sales consultants
  • Sell sponsorship and exhibition packages to companies to attend our NCT event
  • Develop an understanding of the defense and security sector (specifically CBRNe and EOD/C-IED) to meet the needs of customers and build strong relationships
  • Manage and increase the database through content driven research and new leads generation
  • Generate new leads through researching, cold calling and marketing campaigns
  • Visit other trade shows and conferences to meet with existing or new clients
  • Assist on-site when needed at our conferences in Asia, Middle East, Europe, USA and South America

Joint Warfighting Function - Protection (CBRNE) SME, Tampa (FL), USA

Job Summary:

The Joint Warfighting Function – Protection SME (JWF-Pro) assists Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) Headquarters in the planning, coordination, and execution of functional and joint collective training that focuses at the operational and strategic levels of war. The JWF-Pro training support to joint SOF headquarters includes individual, staff, and unit collective training, academic events, senior leader seminars, planning exercises, tabletop exercises, and functional area workshops. This support culminates in the execution of joint mission rehearsals, command post exercises, and other collective training events that supports the USSOCOM 350-12 certification and validation program. JWF-Pro training is based in joint doctrine, but is focused primarily on the sharing of joint insights and best practices. JWF-Pro personnel provide over-the-shoulder training, collect and analyze observations, insights, and lessons that are used to provide feedback to the joint SOF headquarters commander and staff in the form of functional-level feedback, facilitated after-action reviews, and quick look reports. Serves as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, High Yield Explosives (CBRNE) functional subject matter expert and joint exercise planner. Responsible as part of a multifunctional certification, verification, and validation team that provides operational-level training to seven Theater Special Operations Commands. Is the team’s functional expert on CBRNE passive and active defense, CBRNE material or WMD, protecting individuals and units from CBRN hazard (contamination), and decontaminating personnel and material to restore operational capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth research, analysis, and training to support the Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint SOF Task Force Commanders’ readiness and exercise programs.
  • Provide over-the-shoulder training during joint collective-training exercises, training events, and staff outreach visits to Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint SOF Task Force Commanders and their staffs.
  • Assist flag/general officer commanders and principal staff members in understanding and synchronizing operations in joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational operating environments utilizing current SOF Protection TTPs, systems and processes.
  • Perform in-depth research and analysis in preparation for exercises, provide functional after-action reviews, and support the government Team Chief in preparing the Commander’s Facilitated After-action Review and Commander’s Quick Look Report.
  • Plan, coordination, develop, and deliver facilitated Joint Operations Protection Module education and training seminars as part of the core staff development.
  • Conceptualize, develop, and assess the operational aspects of joint doctrine; joint tactics, techniques, and procedures; and related publications. Provide inputs to the development and publication of joint doctrine, including reviews of all joint doctrine updates. Develop and update functional-area focus papers and other articles for professional publications.
  • Provide mentorship and support to active duty and government civilian Observer Controllers / Trainers in the Protection functional area, including preparation for academics, exercises, and staff assist visits; analytic support during academics, exercises, and staff assist visits (SAVs); and preparing functional after-action reviews, Commanders Facilitated After-action Reviews, and Commander’s Quick Look Reports.
  • Provide functional area experience, continuity, and expertise in training and developing Analyst Trainers and active-duty and government-civilian Observer Trainers. Train and mentor new Analyst Trainers.

Job Summary:

This position is located in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT) within the Office for Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), located at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The incumbent will serve within the Unit on Preventing and Responding to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD)/Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Terrorism and Preventing and Combatting the Illicit Trafficking of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and their Illicit Supply to Terrorists in UNCCT’s Countering Terrorism Section, and will report to the Head of Unit under the overall supervision of the Chief of Section. Responsibilities:
